Clifden

Set between the Atlantic Ocean, the Twelve Bens and preserved boglands, lies the town of Clifden on the coast of Connemara. The region offers spectacular scenery, championship golfing, horse riding, walking, cycling, beaches, fishing, scuba diving, painting, national parks, abbeys, castle ruins and over 7,000 years of living history.

Clifden is famous for its wide range of craft and gift shops, it's fine restaurants and it's pubs where there is many and impromtu traditional music session.

The Sky Road to the west of the town gives one of the most breathtaking views of the ocean, islands and mountains than one is ever likely to behold. Why not make Clifden and Connemara your base to explore the other regions of the west of Ireland, Galway city, the Aran islands and Westport in south Mayo make excellent day tours.

How to get there:

If you come out from galway city you take the N59 to Clifden, it should take you roughly 1 hour and 20 minutes to arrive in Clifden Town. Continue through Clifden on the N59 towards Letterfrack, Westport and after about 2KM you will see the sign for Bayview Bed and Breakfast and you have arrived at your destination.
